How does walden university compare

The ones who complain are the ones who are not serious!!! If you want to graduate, you have to make tough decisions and be determined!!! It is your destiny, and you are the one in charge. I started researching my dissertation from the day I started my program.

I centered every paper around this central topic. You have to be dedicated and motivated I woke up at 4 AM every morning to read journal articles and write When I received feedback on my manuscript, I would have it back to my committee within Hours I called my chair in Ohio when I needed guidance on content, and I would call my Methodologist 2nd committee member in Doha, Qatar, when I needed analytical advice It is possible, but you have to drive the car My committee was excellent, and I forced them to follow my direction but worked under their experience and expertise.

The masters went without a hitch. I had some excellent instructors and completed it in a timely manner. My doctorate on the other hand seemed to be dragging out costing me time and money. This had nothing to do with Walden themselves but rather the instructor I had when going into my dissertation.

She was in my opinion more worried about how long she could keep my status in the school rather than finishing the degree program. My opinion is this, you are going to find some instructors who are strictly in it for a paycheck, the longer you are made to stay in, the more they get paid. I was very happy with my final chair for my dissertation completion. So, whatever school you think you want to attend, get some information from previous students who finished not just quit.

I hope that this review will help inspire you to not look at just negative reviews but also the positive ones before making a sound decision on your education.

I truly had a positive experience at Walden. I graduated in Since then, I have found jobs at international schools in China and Uganda easily. I enjoyed my classes at Walden, and most of the times they were challenging. It is sad to read complaints about Walden. All went well for me. Fellow students are mostly engaging and high quality. Good instructors. The only reason I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars is the academic advising department needs improvement. Do not waste your time, money and energy on this school. Even employers will not hire you when they see the name Walden University online no physical location school , even they think this school is a joke.

Charlotte K. It is the definition of a degree mill. They do NOT care about you. They do NOT care about your degree. They care about numbers and money. Those using chapter 33 should especially stay away from them AND their tempo based learning. So they waste months and months of your benefits for 3 months worth of course work.

While tempo based seems legit you can get as much done as you want in 3 months it isn't all that. They design the tests VERY poorly. I have argued with the school about a test I keep failing repeatedly. I have shown them where in the reading the answer is right, but the useless teacher refuses to acknowledge me or my correct answer. Do yourself a favor I promise the other poor reviews are accurate. They make you take BS classes to fulfill your degree requirements.

Tell me how that makes ANY sense! The course work is DRY. It is nauseating how many papers they have you write for a basic nutrition class. It just isn't worth it. I learned way more at my community college and nursing college then I did with this online BS "institution". You waste time and money. It is also bait click to get you in They will slow you down by refusing to open competencies and responding to you when you have questions or discussion board requirements.

With the flexibility of course schedule and unmatched Walden University support, Walden University has been able to achieve this milestone by providing students with all the support to they need so that they can complete the degree successfully.

They were there to assist students to have a pleasant and successful journey. If your looking for a university to belong to then Walden University is the place to be. I wish I had started my doctoral program there in the beginning.

Working through the coursework is straightforward. The majority of the instructors have been there too long and too comfortable with the 'job'. You will find that most of the instructors have general overall feedback to your work i.

Once you have completed the coursework for your degree, then the non-existent mentorship and committee work is where they prolong your thesis or dissertation.

Now you are at this critical point in your education and you have no way out? You are not going to start another program. Do yourself a big favor and find yourself a university that is consistent in its outcomes where there is a bonafide mentorship through your dissertation and an alignment between you, the university professors, and the review committee to achieve the end goal.
